Over the past 2 weeks, a dedicated team has been deployed to reorganise the factory in order to comply with the governments COVID guidelines, providing a safer working environment for our staff and any visitors that have arranged to visit by prior appointment.
Using clear dividing screens and creating a one way traffic system around the factory, has allowed our staff to operate effectively and maintain the minimum 2 metre distance rule.
A safe working policy document supported by daily briefings, video updates and clear and effective signage has provided our staff with the confidence to return to work with the knowledge that we have done everything possible to ensure theirs and your safety whilst at the factory.
With these plans in place, it is with great pleasure to announce that we have reopened the factory and production is now in full flow.
Please note that for the foreseeable future, we will not permit any visits to the factory without prior arrangement and any visitors much adhere to our COVID visitor policy which will be emailed to you ahead of your visit.
In the meantime, the mobile technicians recommenced the servicing of our customer’s bikes on June 1st operating under our new COVID operational policy, if you wish to book a service, please contact [email protected], but hurry as these guys are getting booked up fast.

Dougie Lampkin becomes latest CCM Ambassador
February 15th, 2019 by [email protected]Earlier today, two great pillars of British motorcycling confirmed that they have joined forces, with the Bolton based bike manufacturer CCM Motorcycles using their presence at the London Motorcycle Show to announce twelve times FIM Trial World Champion Dougie Lampkin as their latest brand ambassador.
Lampkin will join four times World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty in flying the flag for the Lancashire founded firm, which is fast approaching its fiftieth anniversary. Currently enjoying record orders for its iconic Spitfire model range, Lampkin was always keen to throw his leg over one of the handmade British machines since they were first launched, and instantly fell in love with both the original version and the Scrambler models when he got to ride them during a Belstaff photoshoot last year.
Already a keen collector of vintage and retro British bikes, Dougie has joined the queue with other CCM customers and is patiently waiting to take delivery of his personal Spitfire, but was delighted to collect the keys from CCM Managing Director Austin Clews for a pre-production Spitfire Six model at the London Motorcycle show earlier today. Dougie will assist with the final development of this model, with the production model that will be delivered to customers in due course reflecting his personal input.
Having already created his own signature version of the Spitfire, Fogarty was also on hand to officially welcome Lampkin to the CCM family. Both Dougie and Carl will be joining CCM Motorcycles at a number of events throughout 2019, as the Spitfire limited edition models continue their tour of the UK over the coming months.
Speaking about Dougie’s appointment, CCM Motorcycles Managing Director Austin Clews said: “I think it is fair to say that the Lampkin family name remains one of the most famous in motorcycling history even today, much due to their sporting success over the last fifty or so years. Dougie’s older cousin John actually rode for us in the Trial World Championship back in the eighties, so it is a proud moment for us to have the opportunity to welcome another member of this British motorcycling dynasty to help us reinforce the importance of us still making bikes in the UK today.”
Austin ended by saying: “Dougie’s own sporting successes speak for themselves, but equally he is a great guy who has a shared passion for what we are doing and has values and experience that are sure to benefit us as a brand as we continue to work on some new and exciting projects. However, for the record, we will not be making another Trial bike – anytime soon.”
Equally delighted to confirm his collaboration Dougie Lampkin stated: “Whilst I’m more widely recognised as a Trial rider, I am actually a fan of motorcycling in general. As soon I saw the first photos of the Spitfire it was love at first sight, so I was really happy when CCM agreed to loan us a couple of Spitfires for the photoshoot we did in the Scottish Highlands last year. Riding the bikes confirmed that I needed to own one and after a bit of Yorkshire bartering, not only am I about to become a CCM customer, but I have also become a CCM brand ambassador too.”
Dougie signed off by explaining: “I really love what CCM are doing with the Spitfire, and so do the British customers who have made the first few versions a complete sell out. I have been lucky enough to see what else they have in the pipeline in terms of new models, and there is plenty more to come out of the famous Bolton factory. With my own passion for old British bikes and the whole retro scene, I am confident I can add value to some of the new projects they have planned. But right now, my priority is to get as many miles in as possible on the pre-production Spitfire Six so I can give my feedback to the factory.”

Seven-Time World Champion Carl Fogarty Joins CCM
November 7th, 2018 by [email protected]CCM Motorcycles today announced that seven-time world champion Carl Fogarty has joined the company as a brand ambassador and consultant.
To mark the collaboration CCM and Carl have developed a limited edition of just 300 Foggy Edition versions of their highly-acclaimed Spitfire series, plus one identical bike commissioned for Foggy.
The Foggy Edition Spitfire model will be first seen in the flesh on Saturday, November 17th on CCM’s stand at Motorcycle Live at the NEC, Birmingham.
“I have been a massive admirer of CCM’s progress over the last few years and love the retro-look bikes they have been producing,” said Carl, who has been appointed Director of Performance.
“I go way back with CCM and have always been close friends with the Clews family, who started the company. So when the chance came up to work with them again I saw a great opportunity to support a British manufacturer that is close to my heart.
“I’m really happy with the Foggy Edition Spitfire. The idea was to add a bit of my own personality and racing heritage to a cool range that has already proved such a big success with the public.
“It’s a bike that you can take to a track day with your mates and then ride straight to the café for a coffee!”
CCM managing director, Austin Clews, added:
“Carl has been a great personal close friend of mine for many years now and we both feel that now is the right time for Carl to get involved, at a time when CCM is venturing more and more into the road bike side of UK and international markets.

Squadron Magazine Launches; Providing Greater Insight & Improving Customer Communication
October 29th, 2018 by [email protected]Exciting times this month ahead of the NEC Motorcycle Live Show, as CCM launch their new customer magazine appropriately named “Squadron”.
In the last 12 months CCM has grown at such a rapid rate, that simply responding to customer enquiries has started to become a daily challenge for the sales team and as a scaling business, It was down to the company to find a solution.
When they sales team dug into the data, they quickly found a pattern in the types of questions being asked and devised a plan on how best to answer the most commonly asked regularly and clearly.
After seeing other manufacturers dealing with similar issues through their monthly magazine, CCM decided to adopt the idea and the idea was born. The Squadron Magazine will be a monthly update that will go out to all customers and share knowledge and improve communication.
CCM have also added the magazine to their website in ‘Explore CCM’ to allow anyone who is interested in purchasing from CCM the opportunity to see what is happening inside CCM HQ prior to ordering a bike.
The business hopes this new tool will improve information sharing with a wider audience making communication more fluent and simpler, alongside providing greater value to customers and increasing the levels of service.
