You may already be aware that this year will be a big deal for CCM, as we will be featured not once, but twice in Hollywood blockbuster movies.
The first to hit the silver screen is the new Black Widow action adventure movie from the Marvel stable.
In the following trailer, you can see the two heroines of the movie doing a donut before escaping down an alleyway (or a ginnel as we call it here in Bolton!)
Black Widow arrives on Jul 9th and just a few weeks later, another big budget movie features another CCM in a high adrenaline chase sequence. As soon as we have more information on that movie we will let you know right here!
The excitement is building for our latest addition to the CCM range. The Blackouts are rolling off the production line and have been undergoing MSVA testing today before final PDI inspections take place.
Take a world class national park, two world champions and five CCM’s. Simmer for a few hours and the result? A Grand Day Out!
Foggy & Dougie (and a couple of CCM mortals) took on icy, salty roads to make our latest film. The roads and conditions suited the lightweight machines perfectly and a lot of fun was had by all!
Motorcycling is poorly represented on the TV these days, so we are really happy to report that Henry Cole is back tonight with his new series of “The Motorbike Show” on ITV4.
Henry fell in love with The original Spitfire when he spotted it at The Bike Shed a couple of years ago and made the journey to Bolton to learn more about this northern family firm of bike builders.
He took the Spitfire prototype out to review for the series and he enjoyed it so much that he bought (with his own money!) the newly released Spitfire FT6!
The show like most things, had been delayed due to COVID, however timing was rather serendipitous for us as the Spitfire Blackout had just been released as Henry was finalising the series.
The show starts tonight, Wednesday 11 November @ 21:00 on ITV4 and CCM’s Blackout is scheduled to appear in a few weeks time.
The stunning new Blackout Spitfire is a thing of beauty for sure but what does it sound like?
We take a quick walkaround the latest incarnation from the SKunkwerx team and hit that FIRE Button….
CCM have joined forces with JEM Speed Shop in Batley, West Yorkshire to create our very first pop-up showroom.
Why JEM? Well, we recognised that the guys here were doing something new and exciting with their distinctive version of a biking destination. With great facilities like “The Pit Stop” American-style diner; Micro-pub serving craft ales; clothing and accessories; plus a barbers shop and tattoo parlour it’s a great place to go for a ride out! Oh and they sell bikes too, and all of this under one roof in a hip, laid back setting.
The CCM pop-up shop officially launches this Saturday, 29 August with the following bikes on display;
The NEW Spitfire Blackout movie tribute bike
The stock Bobber and the moody Stealth version;
The Spitfire 6 resplendent in British Racing Green;
The stunning RAFBF100 commemorative model;
The unique Wolf 77 Custom Café Racer concept
Plus a rare and highly collectable original Spitfire!
The new Blackout model is based on the original Scrambler concept, and was created as a tribute to the machine ridden by Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh in the November release of Black Widow.
This gorgeous special edition can be yours for just £8995 and you can find out more about the new Spitfire Blackout by visiting www.ccm-motorcycles.com/blackout
Come and meet the team this weekend at JEM Speed Shop. You can find them at Unit 3, Brookroyd Mill, Bradford Road, Batley, West Yorkshire, WF17 8ND from 09:00 to 17:00 7 days a week.
After an exciting build up, the new Spitfire Blackout was revealed at the eccentric and eclectic Malle Mile event. After so many of this year’s firm fixtures in the biking calendar were cancelled, it was even more enjoyable to be surrounded by fellow bikers at this fabulous open air biking festival in the stunning surroundings of Kevington Hall in Kent.
Sat alongside the new Blackout was one of the actual bikes ridden in the Black Widow movie. Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh may have graced the dual saddle of this special version of our Scrambler, however the magic was created by one of the greatest stunt riders currently in action; Frenchwoman Sarah Lezito. You can see the bike in the new Black Widow movie at a cinema near you on 06 November!
Also on display was a stunt bike of yore, the world record bus-jumping CCM of the legendary Eddie Kidd; it took real bravery to take a leap of faith back in those days without the huge travel suspension, computer-aided ramp design and bike telemetry in use today.
The Malle Mile is all about taking part and a few of the CCM gang came along to try their hand on a couple of stock Scramblers with some great results. Novice Owen Davies from the design team fared incredibly well for a first attempt, winning a number of his heats, but the star of the show was mobile technician Ben Lightbown who saw off all-comers and took the overall event title! Congratulations to Ben and the rest of the team. You can see him in action here.
