    Hi is there any advantage in changing the rear sprocket size

    What size sprocket are you starting with ?
    Gearing on the Original Spitfire came with 15/43 sprockets , later models with 19″ wheels changed to 15/40 , I think the Foggy’s with 17″ wheels came with 15/38 , there are lots of things you could consider such as what road speed max engine torque occurs at , I’ve changed to 16/40 , I think first gear is quite low and chose lower revs when crusing and fuel economy 63mpg .

    Ps. 16 tooth front sprocket is not a straight swop !
