    Hi,

If I was to get my local garage to carry out the 500 mile and yearly servicing would this affect my warranty? I live in the Highlands so it’s a fair drive for the mobile servicing. In saying that it’s a very good service and worth the money but not when I could drive the bike 3 miles to my local bike garage and potential pay a bit less. Note it would be a 800 mile round trip for CCM to change oil on my bike and check it over! At this time I haven’t ruled out the CCM service but just scoping out my options.

You lucky person, owning a CCM and being able to ride it around such beautiful countryside. On the subject the CCM Service Pack, living in Somerset, I opted for the at home version when I bought my Spitfire 6 and I must say I have been very impressed. You may be able to save some money by going local, quite a lot probably, but the two technician’s that have serviced my machine so far have been brilliant. Their knowledge of the product is exemplary and their skill when undertaking the service is a pleasure to observe. I know the Service Pack is a lot of money so good luck with whatever choice you decide to make but in my opinion it is worth every penny for the peace off mind that comes with it.

    Hi Colin,

It’s a tough decision, if it was £700/£800 I would probably be keen but over £1000 just seems OTT. I understand the service is top notch but let’s be honest your local guy would do a service for £100 odd! I think one of the plus sides to going with CCM is that they will fix any warranty issues whilst carrying out the service so that would be a bonus. Let’s hope the maybe reduce the service pack slightly and offer a pay monthly plan!
