    @ccm

    It’s that time of year when I renew my bike policy. Am I in thinking that the ignition fob is also an immobiliser and if so, is it Thatcham approved?

    Hi, nabbott
    The Spitfire electrical system has neither an immobiliser circuit or very secure, the immobiliser to comply with an msva is the steering lock, a tracker was available, I don’t know if it was thatcham approved.

    Hi,

    Martin is correct. No immobiliser or very secure. I have just had to go through the electrical system blind, as no wiring diagram was availible from CCM (Bobber), to diagnose the bikes non response to the RFID fob. You would be shocked at how simple it is to bypass the mlock reciever and start the bike.

    If you want thatcham approved security is needs to be fitted and certified by an approved installer.
