A couple of months shouldn’t completely kill the battery and it’s battery recovery that’s a problem , optimate have a battery to battery charger , it pulses to create the higher voltage for lithium charging , your problem sounds as if your bike isn’t waking up ! motogadget say hold the fob to the sensor for 2secs , I think it takes more like 5+ secs , if your battery was low first signs would be slow cranking all the way to the ignition switching it’s self off when you press the start button. (maybe I should have just said hold the fob for as long as it takes for the sensor to wake up)
