Hi Martin, yes good remark on the position of the sensor!
It indicates the temperature of the radiator and not of the engine!
Despite the calorstat which opens at 87 ° C / 188.6 ° F
, liquid still circulates a little in the radiator when it is closed!
This slows down the time it takes for the engine to heat up!
