Here Come The Girls!

August 24th, 2021 by

CCM Blackout customer, Annette Norman had a dilemma. She’d booked onto the MotoLegends Ladies Ride which took the group of all female bikers from their headquarters near Guildford, across Salisbury Plain to the Roth Bar & Grill at the Hauser & Wirth Gallery in Bruton, Somerset.

With all of the issues surrounding shipping of components in from Europe, Annette’s Blackout was delayed and wouldn’t arrive in time. With a gap between promotional events such as The Festival of Speed and the MCN Festival, we were able to lend our Maverick test bike to Annette to enable her to take part.

Annette was able to assess the bike ahead of her Blackout’s arrival to make sure a) it fitted her and b) it fitted her camper van….

The great news was that it worked on both counts, the bike being so light and easy to move around which also allowed her to transport the bike from her home in the midlands to Surrey on a rack on the back of the van – perfect! This was something that she wasn’t able to do with her outgoing Triumph.

Annette said of her time on the Maverick “I found it really easy to ride, it gripped corners so well, easy gear changes, easy to steer, great power, this bike loves the twisties, a great all rounder….

it was comfortable, good seat height, being 5ft 5, I had no issues with confidently reaching the ground, unlike other bikes. Had lots of ladies come over to look and ask about it, showing serious interest…..No matter where I went, it pulled a crowd…you’ll never be alone, someone always wants to chat to you about the CCM ”

CCM are back at The Malle Mile!

July 12th, 2021 by

CCM will be at The Malle Mile again this year to join in the fun after our first visit inb 2020, when CCM mobile technician Ben Lightbown, rode away with overall honours on one of our Scramblers, after competing against everything from shed-built specials to the thrilling final against European Enduro champion on an Ex-Dakar race bike!

The “British Inappropriate Motorcycle Race & Festival In Motion”, this fabulously eccentric event has a new home for 2021!

Billed as a “non-stop celebration of the speed, music & art of the motorcycle culture”, this is a biking festival with a difference. Not only can you admire some cool creations on show, but you can even enter your bike in a number of different challenges too!

Grimsthorpe Castle, near Peterborough provides the stunning backdrop to the bikes, bands and food concessions, making the event more accessible to more people than ever before.

We will have our latest bikes on show and visitors will have the chance to try out one our bikes on a special off-road course too. Watch out for more details in the events section HERE on how to register coming soon.

Hit For SIX? Enjoy the latest in our series of test ride reviews.

The SIX takes off where the original Spitfire landed. However, whereas quite a few budding Spitfire pilots had to have their flying license rescinded due to the lofty saddle of that first great machine, this more polished offspring opens up the cockpit to so many more, enabling almost anyone to enjoy the exhilarating flight of fancy of these great British bikes.

To see the bike in more detail and get that FPV, enjoy the road test review from our very own John Drogan.

A Grand Day Out

January 22nd, 2021 by

Take a world class national park,  two world champions and five CCM’s. Simmer for a few hours and the result? A Grand Day Out!

Foggy & Dougie (and a couple of CCM mortals) took on icy, salty roads to make our latest film. The roads and conditions suited the lightweight machines perfectly and a lot of fun was had by all!

We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
