For the second year running, head of CCM France, Stephane Mezard has been crowned as French nation Flat Track champion.
Stephane has a great track record as former French Super Moto champion and for contesting the 24 Heures Du Mans, to name just a few of his achievements.
The day job is still very much on 2 wheels, as CCM’s distributor in France, and with results like this, he should have a few more customers beating a path to his showroom door in the beautiful Clermont Ferrand region.
Grimsthorpe Castle in Lincolnshire was the new home of The Malle Mile festival over the weekend and record numbers of visitors snapped up tickets to take part in the fun!
CCM were one of the event sponsors with a host of bikes on show as well as a few taking part in the crazy hillclimb and sprints running each day.
And when the sun finally set, the bands fired up their amps to entertain into the wee small hours.
We cant wait to be there again next year and as soon as we have news of the 2022 dates, we will share it right here!
CCM will be at The Malle Mile again this year to join in the fun after our first visit inb 2020, when CCM mobile technician Ben Lightbown, rode away with overall honours on one of our Scramblers, after competing against everything from shed-built specials to the thrilling final against European Enduro champion on an Ex-Dakar race bike!
The “British Inappropriate Motorcycle Race & Festival In Motion”, this fabulously eccentric event has a new home for 2021!
Billed as a “non-stop celebration of the speed, music & art of the motorcycle culture”, this is a biking festival with a difference. Not only can you admire some cool creations on show, but you can even enter your bike in a number of different challenges too!
Grimsthorpe Castle, near Peterborough provides the stunning backdrop to the bikes, bands and food concessions, making the event more accessible to more people than ever before.
We will have our latest bikes on show and visitors will have the chance to try out one our bikes on a special off-road course too. Watch out for more details in the events section HERE on how to register coming soon.
After an exciting build up, the new Spitfire Blackout was revealed at the eccentric and eclectic Malle Mile event. After so many of this year’s firm fixtures in the biking calendar were cancelled, it was even more enjoyable to be surrounded by fellow bikers at this fabulous open air biking festival in the stunning surroundings of Kevington Hall in Kent.
Sat alongside the new Blackout was one of the actual bikes ridden in the Black Widow movie. Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh may have graced the dual saddle of this special version of our Scrambler, however the magic was created by one of the greatest stunt riders currently in action; Frenchwoman Sarah Lezito. You can see the bike in the new Black Widow movie at a cinema near you on 06 November!
Also on display was a stunt bike of yore, the world record bus-jumping CCM of the legendary Eddie Kidd; it took real bravery to take a leap of faith back in those days without the huge travel suspension, computer-aided ramp design and bike telemetry in use today.
The Malle Mile is all about taking part and a few of the CCM gang came along to try their hand on a couple of stock Scramblers with some great results. Novice Owen Davies from the design team fared incredibly well for a first attempt, winning a number of his heats, but the star of the show was mobile technician Ben Lightbown who saw off all-comers and took the overall event title! Congratulations to Ben and the rest of the team. You can see him in action here.
